Longwood Elementary School Holds Science Night

Longwood Elementary School students and families were invited to participate in various science experiments from the Emerald Coast Science Center during the school’s annual Science Night.  Some of the experiments included building circuits, tracking sound wave patterns, designing constellations, and shrinking polymers to name a few.  Students also had the opportunity to gaze at the stars through telescopes provided by the Northwest Florida Astronomy Group.

“Our 3rd-5th grade also found out which science fair projects won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in their grade level,” said Assistant Principal, Angela Beebe.  “The library housed the group and class science fair projects.  Parents and friends were able to see what students have been working on during their science time.  The teachers and families had a festive fun evening!”
