Grant Meyer Named Principal of Pryor Middle School

The School Board unanimously approved the selection of Grant Meyer as the Principal of Pryor Middle School at the March 10th School Board meeting.

Grant Meyer began his career in education as a teacher at Fort Walton Beach High School.  Later, in 2001, he transferred to Niceville High School to teach honors social studies and coach wrestling and varsity football.  In 2003, he became a social studies and physical education teacher as well as the head football coach at Lewis Middle School.  

Meyer returned to Niceville High School, his high school alma mater, and was later appointed assistant principal early in 2006.  He has overseen many projects in his eight years as an administrator at Niceville and is committed to the success of all Okaloosa County students. 

Meyer is married to his wife Amy, who is also a teacher.  They have two sons, Hayden, a college student and Harley, a junior at Niceville High School.

Meyer will replace Jeff Palmer who is the new principal of Niceville High School.
