Steve Anderson Named Program Director of School Food Service

Steve Anderson was named Program Director School Food Services at the February 27th School Board meeting.  A product of Okaloosa County Schools, Steve attended Bruner Middle School and graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School.

Steve’s career in the Okaloosa County School System started 20 years ago, after earning both his Bachelor and Master of Arts degree from the University of West Florida.  For the past thirteen years, he has worked as an administrator in multiple schools in the north, central and south ends of the county.  His diverse placement has provided him the opportunity to observe and gain experience with operational systems of any size.  Additionally, he has been responsible for supervising all levels of school personnel which will serve as valuable experience in his new role.  Although he will miss interacting with the students in schools on a daily basis, he looks forward to working with the food service personnel and tackling any future challenges.

Steve is married to Shannon, a teacher at Davidson Middle School.  They have three children, which they consider their true life’s work.  Victoria (24) lives in Boston, currently in her final semester of post-graduate studies at Boston University. Her ambition is to work CDC while pursuing her career in public health. Noah (16) is a junior at Crestview High School, and Ethan (14) is in eighth grade at Davidson Middle School.
