Academic Team Competition Season Is In Full Swing!

Pryor Middle School recently took first place at the Varsity level of the Academic team tournament hosted by Saint Mary’s School.  Ruckel Middle School placed second and Bruner Middle School placed third.

Pryor’s Varsity team included Cole Browning, Chandler Washington, Justin Barraca, Jacob Sockman, and Bradlee Bates, with Coach Sherrie Fults.

Ruckel’s Varsity team members were Kenedi Mills, Jillian Sturim, Parker Walsh, Daniel Bobbitt, William Rood, Matthew Murphey, and Coach Erin Rhodes.

Playing for Bruner’s Varsity team were Kasey Rigby, Julia Cademartori, Roderick Peacock, James Beyer, Case Whitfield, Emma Smith, and Talia Engelsma, with Coach Vicki Wheaton.

At the Junior Varsity level, Saint Mary’s School took first place with Hannah Baradon, Miriam Englehardt, Calvin Boole, Grayson Liles, Jenna Lambeth, and Heidi Dierig, under Coach Marge Lutz.  The Ruckel Junior Varsity took second thanks to Ariell Carr, Faith Herron, Grant Ransom, Amy Erickson, Eshaan Sharma, Zachary Wendt, and Coach Sonja Love.

Meigs Middle School Junior Varsity took third with Kavin Balasubramaniam, Katelyn Butler, Presley Reid, Payton Bolger, Gabriel Reiman, and Coach Suzy Chapman.

The academic teams and tournaments in Okaloosa County are coordinated by Carol Bernich, Choctawhatchee High School.
