Ballet Académie

The Northwest Florida Ballet Académie is a unique school which runs from third grade to seventh grade. It combines the rigors and joy of dance with a full schedule of academic classes. The students not only study the usual science, math, English and Social Studies - but their coursework also includes ballet, French, dance history and a very healthy dose of art.

The Ballet Académie offers children who want to dance – regardless of their economic means – the opportunity to develop their natural abilities, and provides a strong academic program in a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Directed by Todd Eric Allen, Artistic Director of Northwest Florida Ballet, the Ballet Académie faculty comprises well-qualified, certified academic teachers and ballet professionals.

Upcoming third grade students are selected by audition in May. No prior training is required. Selection is based solely on the student’s potential to learn to dance.
