National Board Certification Program

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards® holds the belief that the single most important action this country can take to improve schools and student learning is to strengthen teaching.

To apply for National Board Certification there is an initial $75 nonrefundable application fee.  The National Board certification process consists of four component areas.  These areas may be taken one at a time or more than one at a time.  Each component costs $475 for a total of $1,900.  Candidates have one to three years to complete the process.  For information on deadlines and/or to apply, see the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards website:  www.nbpts.org.
