Dress Code Policy Information:

Frequently Asked Dress Code Items to Help with School Shopping (Please Note: This is not the entire dress code policy. Complete policy will be available on website and 2019-2020 Student Agenda Handbook)

  • Minimum length of clothing should approach the top of the kneecap (front, back and side of leg). This includes shorts, skirts, and skorts. Running shorts are not allowed without leggings. Shirts cannot be longer than the shorts, skirt or skorts. Physical Education attire must also follow dress code standards (PE uniforms will be available for purchase).
  • Shirts or blouses must be worn so that no undergarment will be seen and the back must be covered. Spaghetti strap shirts are not allowed.
  • Midriff (stomach) cannot be exposed. Stomach shall not show when arms are held straight out to the side. Crop tops not allowed.
  • Skin tight clothing, low cut blouses or tops, clothing with cutouts, swimwear, or any other revealing garments are inappropriate for school. Yoga pants, leggings, jeggings, or fitted joggers, etc. are not in dress code without appropriate covering. Appropriate covering means that the shirt/blouse worn falls the below the waist.
  • ALL Pants, jeans, or shorts with holes or frays that expose skin above the knee, must be worn with leggings underneath (Leggings may NOT be see through and/or fishnet).
  • Tops or T-shirts with low cut underarms are not allowed. Shirts with low cut underarms may not expose undergarments or skin.
  • Pants will be worn at the waist level. Sagging is not allowed. Undergarments should not be visible at any time.
  • Extremes in dress or appearance are not appropriate for school. Such extremes in dress or appearance that cause a disruption of school functions are not allowed. Extracurricular activity sponsors (including band and chorus) reserve the right to enforce this expectation. The extracurricular example includes extremes in colored hair.
  • For the safety and protection of our students, body-piercing jewelry which include but not limited to eyebrows, lips, etc., with the exception of earrings worn in the ears, will not be allowed at school or while participating in any school activity.

Friendly Reminder of Okaloosa County Absence Policies:

After a total of 9 excused or unexcused absences per semester,
the student must have an excuse from a doctor or an official agency.

After the 15th day absent, we can no longer accept Doctors Excuses.
The parent will have to go before the attendance committee for approval.

If  a student has missed more than half of a class, they are  counted absent
from that class.
