Students enrolled in the Cosmetology Salon & Spa Program receive specialized training in many of today’s most sought after career fields.

While enrolled in the Cosmetology Program, students are awarded the opportunity of preparing for the Board of Cosmetology License.

Scholarships

Most high school students will have the ability to earn the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award which is part of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. Gold Seal may pay up to 75% of tuition and fees to Florida colleges and universities. Experts in the Cosmetology industry spend their career focusing on service and products that improve people’s personal appearance and self-esteem. Many people are drawn to cosmetology because of the various career paths the business presents and the opportunity to be employed in a virtually recession-proof industry.

In the Cosmetology Program, students learn to care for hair, skin, and nails and create style and beauty for their clients. This course incorporates extensive hands-on experience using mannequins and live models.

Class Syllabus:

Cosmetology 1 is two semesters of curriculum in which students acquire a knowledge and level of skill that will make the graduate employable as a Cosmetologist.  The first year covers strict theory and practice performance on manikins and students.  We study the required material for the curricular framework and Florida State Board :
