High School and Beyond - Keys to Your Future Night

6pm to 8pm

Our traditional High School and Beyond Night has a new format this year with new sessions to help prepare you for "whatever is next."  Sessions this year will include the "main session" where students and families will learn how to prepare for college admissions, career choices, scholarship opportunites, and marketing strategies for your student.  Additionally, our local college and military recruiters will be on hand to give institution-specific information, tips and tricks.  Organizations represented:  Northwest Florida State College, University of West Florida, Embry -Riddle Aeronautical University, Troy University, Florida State University - Panama City, Okaloosa Technical College, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

We will have two new sessions this year as well:  one for 8th graders as they begin to make their plans for high school and one for athletes who want to know what it takes to participate in college athletics with guest speaker Santiago Pinzon, Assistant Director of Athletics/Compliance at Troy University.

6pm to 7pm, Choctawhatchee High School Auditorium - YOUR FUTURE - Harnessing the Power of your High School Experiences

(Then choose any 1 of three sessions)

7:05 pm to 7:45 pm, Choctawhatchee Auditorium - Next Up...High School - A presentation created to help 8th graders with their strategic planning.

7:05 pm to 7:45 pm, Choctawhatchee Gymnasium -Next Level Athletes - Santiago Pinzon, Assistant Director of Athletics/Compliance at Troy University. presents the path to collegiate athletics.  Q&A session  included.

7:05 pm to 8:00 pm, Choctawhatchee 1A Hallway - Recruiters from local colleges and every branch of the military will be on hand to answer questions, provide guidance, and describe their individual admissions processes.
