Edge ES Students Win Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest

Congratulations to the recent Elks Lodge Americanism Essay contest winners! This contest was open to students across the district. The three Division 1 winners (grades 5/6) were Edge Elementary School students in Angela Barry’s 5th grade English Language Arts (ELA) class. Their essay topic was “What Does Freedom of Speech Mean to Me?” Essays were judged on originality, development of theme, and mechanics. The students were recognized at the annual Elks Lodge Community Service and Americanism Essay awards banquet held on February 29th.

Congratulations Sabina, Alexis, and Cailyn!
