SWAT Programs Participate in Beach Clean Up Day

Several Okaloosa County school S.W.A.T. (Students Working Against Tobacco) programs participated in a beach clean-up day in Fort Walton last month. The schools that were represented were Meigs Middle School, Pryor Middle School, Shoal River Middle School, Bruner Middle School, Davidson Middle School, Fort Walton Beach High School, and Crestview High School.

Kaili Calasso from the Florida Department of Health stated, “We had 20 kids and 23 parents participate in this event at Beasley Park in efforts to teach the students about Tobacco and how it affects the environment after it is used.”
