Generous Donations Make New Construction Program at Pryor Middle School Possible

The Okaloosa County School District wishes to thank Larry Kline and Janson Thomas for the very generous support of the new Construction Program at W.C. Pryor Middle School. The contribution of over $4,500 in tools and equipment from the Fort Walton Beach Lowe’s and the personal contribution of $10,000 by Kline will be a catalyst in building the pipeline of skilled and talented workers that the construction industry needs so desperately. More importantly, the pledge of continued support with mentors, guest speakers, field trips, and project materials will ensure the growth and development of a thriving program for our students.

The excitement in the room as the students shared and explained their design sketches for a “dream home” was quite contagious. It was clear that Greg Rynearson’s students were engaged deeply, and were having fun while learning valuable skills. These young students are on a path to very rewarding and fulfilling careers in the construction industry. We will certainly have many success stories to share over the years ahead.

Thanks again Mr. Kline, Mr. Thomas, and Lowe’s of Fort Walton Beach for your belief in, and your investment in the future of our students.
