Middle School and High School Geometry Teachers Attend Professional Development
Great minds under construction! Middle school and High School Geometry teachers were treated to an amazing professional development (PD) transformation that turned a regular meeting room into a lively construction zone.
Under the direction of Karmen Broaddus, Elizabeth Hohn, and Beth Griffith, crews dug deep into an exploration of how to construct bisectors, angles, and polygons. The group was supplied with various useful tools such as a compass, string, straightedge, and Geogebra (technology tool to enhance constructions). Teachers left with a binder of ideas and a firm grasp of the course construction standards.
The construction professional development is a continuance of secondary “Math PD Your Way” which provides teachers with a choice of professional development courses to best meet their needs.
