Updated 6.25.19 - Monday, June 24th was the kick-off for the Career and Technical Education Free Summer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Camp for rising 5th graders being held at Destin Middle School.  "The day was a huge success; fun and learning was had by all," said David Johnson, Career and Technical Teacher on Special Assignment.  Representative Mel Ponder, Linda Sumblin, and Principal Joe Jannazo visited the classrooms to encourage the students about the importance of the STEM curriculum. District Hosts FREE STEM Camp



Original Article 6.12.19 - Explore! Build! Create!  That is what is in store at this summer's FREE STEM Camp hosted by the Career and Technical Education Department and the Gulf Power Foundation!

The STEM Camp is open to the FIRST 24 students who register.

Open to students who will be in the 5th grade for the 2019 - 2020 school year

Curious explorers will build creative, problem-solving and STEM skills with different activities throughout the camp. We mix day camp fun with hands-on projects in science, art, and outdoors!

Snack and juice box will be provided each day. Participants will also receive a FREE t-shirt!
