Ed Spark! STEM Summer Camps

This summer Ed Spark! STEM Camps are offering several new camps as well as the LEGO Robotics Camps.  Interested in attending?  Look at the listed camps below, choose your week, and choose your camp. If you choose to join us for more than one camp the second camp will be reduced by $25.

Info for all Camps

  • Camp fee: $175.00 per camp
    • $25 off if you are signing up for more than one camp with EdSpark LLC
  • All camps will be Monday - Thursday 8:00 am to 300 pm
  • Time: Drop off 7:45 am – Pick-up no later than 3:15 pm ($20 fee for every 15 minutes late after pick- up time of 3:15)
  • Free breakfast and lunch may be provided by the OCSD FREE Summer meals program. Campuses with this program will be listed. Students may bring snacks or own lunch.

Beginning LEGO Robotics Camp (students entering grades 4th – 8th)

This camp will allow the student to design and build a LEGO EV3 Robot and program the robot to complete certain tasks throughout the week. Students will learn about the programming structures as well as using sensors to detect distance and color. Limit up to 20 students

Beginning Video Game Design/Coding -- (students entering grades 6th – 8th)

Learn all about the world of game development. Get a taste of all the disciplines that go into making games, while developing your skills to create your very own game. Limit up to 20 students

***NEW*** Taking Flight – (students entering 6th - 8th)

This year we introduce our flight camp that will give students a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation.

Participants learn about the dynamics of airplanes and the principles of flight during an immerse experience that showcases the broad spectrum of careers in the aviation industry.

Limit up to 20 students

Activities Include: Fly an advanced flight simulation device, Learn about airspace, navigation, flight planning, and pre-flight checks, Model Glider Construction, Model Rocket Building, and Launch.

***NEW*** Digital Video Production: Start a YouTube Channel (for students entering 6th – 8th)

This course is great for those kids who are designers. Students will use HTML coding while designing their own Youtube channel. YouTube is the place to bring your innovative visions to life. Make vlogs, gamecasts, tutorials, and more to establish an online presence and dive into video production.

Capture footage with camp cameras or student owned camera/phone and use tools like Corel to do photo editing and green screen productions. Put your creative endeavors together into a polished channel that's sure to draw followers.

***NEW*** Ryze Up! Drone Camp (for students entering 4th – 8th using block coding)

Drone Camp is about hands-on learning, innovation, coding, and adventure. Come make friends, play creative games and jump in at the forefront of an emerging field. This one-of-a-kind summer camp is for anybody and everybody. No experience needed, great memories guaranteed!

Limit up to 15 students

Campers will learn: (bring a personal phone to use the app)


  • FAA rules and Regulations -- Students will learn a very basic overview of what the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is as well as the rules to fly a drone in the United States.
  • Program autonomous flying
  • Real Life Application Scenario – Search and Rescue -- There are only 30 minutes of battery and you and your partner must deliver items to hurricane survivors! This fast-paced activity involves maps, drones, and teamwork. Campers will learn drone technology in this real-life example.

***NEW*** Elementary STEMQuest Camp -- (students entering into 3rd-5th grades)

StemQuest unplugs kids from the computer screen in this narrative-based hands-on STEM program. This camp will teach kids the scientific method and how to apply it to solve different puzzles. They will utilize life skills such as design and systems thinking, collaborative problem solving, curiosity, mindfulness, and imagination to outwit, out-build, and out-smart the other team using the information they learned throughout the week to solve challenges. On the last day of camp, teams are formed to work together to use the information they learned throughout the week to “BreakOut” of the STEMQuest room.

Shoal River Middle School – July 29th-August 1st  8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
