Fourteen Okaloosa County Educators Receive NDIA ACCEL Grants

Fourteen Okaloosa County School District educators were selected to receive 2018 ACCEL Science and Engineering Grants from the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Gulf Coast Chapter. The NDIA awarded grants to the projects that demonstrated creativity and innovation in teaching and encouraged an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. The recipients received grants up to $1000 on Thursday, November 8th at the US Air Force Armament Museum. 

The following educators received ACCEL grants in Okaloosa County:

  • Trisha Mikel-Allen - Choctawhatchee High School
  • Kathy Moore - Choctawhatchee High School
  • Karen Osborn - Kenwood Elementary School
  • Dawn Pack - Destin Middle School
  • Denise Richardson - Plew Elementary School
  • Tim Sexton - Davidson Middle School
  • Michele Stockton - Davidson Middle School
