Pryor MS Hosts Motivational Speaker, Dr. Wale "Bumaye" Lawal
On Thursday, August 23, 2018, Dr. Wale "Bumaye" Lawal, spoke to Pryor Middle School’s student body about his secrets on how he was able to not only survive during school but THRIVE.
With a background in Material Science & Engineering, he cleverly uses the fundamental principles of science and nature to explain how anyone can achieve success while in school and also achieve a higher level of success after graduation. He provided the audience with the tools to innovate at a young age to set them apart amongst their peers and guarantee a successful and rewarding life.
Dr. Wale "Bumaye" Lawal is an Armed Forces Member working as a Project Engineer. He dedicates himself to speaking to youth and young adults in middle school, high school, and college as well as young professionals. His motivational speeches teach students how to be successful and "Live in Their Greatness." Dr. Lawal graduated from the US Air Force Academy with a BS in Materials Science. During his time at the Academy, he played Division 1 Football and competed nationally in the collegiate heavyweight boxing weight class where he won 2 National Boxing Titles. Upon finishing his Bachelor’s degree, he received a National Scholarship to pursue his Master’s degree and Ph.D. at Rice University in Materials Science and NanoEngineering.
Looking back at his previous success he strives to show future generations the tools of leadership and success.
