Crestview HS Holds Breakfast with the Big Dogs to Stress Importance of Eating Breakfast

Crestview HS Holds Breakfast with the Big Dogs

The kitchen staff at Crestview High School recently held a Breakfast with the Big Dogs to help educate the students on the importance of eating breakfast.  “I am sure we are all aware that eating a healthy breakfast before starting the school day is linked to improved concentration, better test scores, increased energy, a higher intake of vitamins and minerals, and even healthier body weight,” said Angela Doty, Field Supervisor, The Nutrition Group.  “The students were treated to Buttermilk Pancakes, Cinnamon French Toast, and Belgian Waffles, a topping bar with a wide variety of breakfast toppings, fruit, and milk.  Thank you to Jason Schmidt (Chef) and Greg Weeks (District Field Supervisor) for your assistance.”

A special thank you to the guest servers for the day; Dexter Day, Principal, Crestview High School; Tommy Harvell, Assistant Principal, Crestview High School; and Steve Anderson, District Food Service Director.

Outstanding Job to Lynn Rogers and Jessica Campbell (Crestview High School Cafeteria Managers) and their entire staff for their tireless efforts. “We do not remember days, we remember moments,” said Doty. “Every day is an opportunity to create a moment and the Crestview High School cafeteria staff is dedicated to make the cafeteria experience a positive one for the students.”
