Camp Invention is returning to Okaloosa County School District

In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Bluewater Elementary School is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades 1st through 6th.  It's an exiciting, weeklong summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering, and innovation.  Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules.

Kindergarten Registration now open for 2016-2017

Registration for Kindergarten may be completed in-between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. during the regular school day at the school zoned for the child's neighborhood.  To complete the registration process, parents must present a valid driver's license along with their child's proof of age (birth certificate), a social security card, a Florida certificate of immunization form 680, a current school physical, current proof of residence.

Florida KidSight Foundation

We are please to announce Florida KidSight Foundation will be at Antioch Elementary on March 11, 2016 at 9:00 am.  This is a Free vision screening for pre-school children ages 1 through 5 years of age.

 

4th Grade Field Trip to Tallahassee

Our 4th grades classes will be traveling to Tallahassee on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.  We will depart Antioch Elementary promptly at 6:00am and travel by charter bus to Tallahassee, where we will visit the State Capital, State Historic Capital, the Challenger Museum and the Museum of Florida History.  On the way back from Tallahassee, we will visit Falling Waters State Park in Chipley where students will enjoy their lunches.  We will take a short hike along a boardwalk to view Florida's tallest waterfall.

Celebrating A Century of Success

This 2015-2016 school year is a historic milestone for Okaloosa County Schools as it marks the hundreth year we have been sucessfully educating Okaloosa's students.  Further, this Monday, February 1st is another milestone as we reach the 100th day of this school year. To honor this hundredth day of our hundredth year, each school received a flag from Congressman Jeff Miller that was flown over our nation’s capital.
