She has taught AP Environmental Science, AICE Marine Science and Honors Biology at NHS and she has served on the School Advisory Council, Science Review Committee, and Curriculum and Instruction Committee.

“Dr. Maker’s experience at Niceville High School in forming smaller learning communities, analyzing student data, implementing high effect teaching strategies, increasing school/student performance and designing professional development for more effective teaching will assist her in her duties as Assistant Principal,” said Superintendent Dr Alexis Tibbetts. “She has established rapport with the faculty and has already been performing some administrative duties as a Teacher on Special Assignment.   Jodi is very goal driven and articulate.   She is a good communicator with students, parents and teachers.”

Dr. Maker is married to Shannon Maker who is recently retired from the United State Air Force.  She is the proud mother of two daughters, Elizabeth, a recent Niceville High graduate and Florida State University student and Kaleigh, an 8th grader at Ruckel Middle School.
