Edge Elementary Students Step Up in Spring Break Reading Challenge

Edge Elementary School students were encouraged to read 500 minutes over Spring Break during the 2013 Spring Break Reading Challenge. Eighty-eight students hit the 500 minute mark and were treated to a doughnut breakfast this week with Sheriff Larry Ashley and School Resource Officer Deputy Christine Haley.

“We challenge our kids to read 30 minutes every night but this was an extra special challenge that went out over their vacation to read above and beyond that while on vacation,” said Kelly Edelman, Edge Elementary School Media/Web Specialist.
