Resources for Students

ThinThinkCentralk Central

Our science and math textbooks are available online at ThinkCentral. You must log in using a user name and password. Ask your child's teacher if you need to know your child's user name and password.

Once you are logged in, My Library gives you access to the online version of the textbooks and other materials. Click My Library. In the list of resources, you will see the Student Edition for math and for science.

In the online student math book, when you are on a page for a lesson, you will see four circles at the top right of the screen. Those circles “light up” when there is a game that is related to that particular lesson. Click on the circle to go directly to that resource.

Under My Library, also take a look at the link to Florida Online Intervention. These are great tutorials that demonstrate how to do certain math skills.

There are also many exciting online resources available for ScienceFusion, including Virtual Labs, Digital Lessons, Vocabulary Cards, and an Interactive Glossary.

Fcat Explorer

Third, fourth, and fifth grade students can prepare for FCAT with FCAT Explorer, a free online practice program. The content is built from the Sunshine State Standards that are tested on the FCAT. Kids can practice by themselves because the programs give them corrective feedback and learning guidance. FCAT Explorer reinforces reading and math skills outlined in the Sunshine State Standards.

Usernames and passwords are issued shortly after the beginning of each school year. Ask your child's teacher for your username and password.

Spelling City

Students in second, third, fourth, and fifth grade can practice their spelling words online at Spelling City. Your child can review the words, and play spelling games with the words to reinforce the learning process. Choose your grade level, and then find your weekly list. Then try the Teach Me, Test Me, or Play a Game link. You do not need to register to use Spelling City.
