Encyclopedia of Life (EOL)

Visit the Okaloosa County Places project on the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) to learn about four different habitats found in the county, the plants and animals you are likely to encounter in each habitat and how they interact with each other. You can also find the latest biodiversity observations for the area, links to field guides and species lists, information about local citizen science events such as BioBlitzes, and, games and cards to enhance learning about the organisms. We're excited to have Okaloosa SCIENCE as one of our first partners to test out EOL Places. Check it out and email us at education@eol.org to give us your feedback.

EOL is a global initiative with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of living nature through gathering, generating and sharing knowledge in an open, freely accessible and trusted on-line resource.
