
Okaloosa County's Instructional Television (ITV) provides instructional programming to the schools in our district, programs for K-12 students and staff development for teachers, principals and media specialists.
We broadcast EBS microwave and ITV On-Demand within the district, and provide
ITV Online for viewing on the web.
1. For viewing EBS microwave on OCSD ITV:

Channel 02 - ITV On-Demand - South (Destin, FWB)
Channel 03 - ITV On-Demand - North (Niceville, Crestview, Baker)
Channel 04 - The Florida Knowledge Network (DOE)

2. For viewing on your TV with ITV On-Demand:
Media Specialist: Tune your KAON digital cable box to the correct channel listed above: ITV On-Demand North or ITV On-Demand South.
Teachers: Tune to the closed-circuit channel in your classroom for OCSD ITV (normally a channel 2 - 10 on your TV).
3. For viewing on your PC with ITV Online:
Click the ITV Online link on the left column of your screen.
4). Final Cut Pro Certification:
We offer Final Cut Pro certification through the CHOICE Institutes.

Programs in Spotlight
We produce TV programs for distribution on the web, DVD, cable and broadcast TV, including:
1. Navigating Through the Okaloosa County School District - A bi-weekly program that highlights the activities of the district, features our schools and their successful programs and events, and provides information to the public on areas of interest that affect the school district.
Airs Saturday at noon and 5:00 pm and Sundays at noon and 6:00 pm on Cox Cable Channel 6. Also available on ITV Online on this website.
2. Staff Training DVD's - These include information from the superintendent, administration training, student information and various meetings and events.
3. School Board workshops and meetings - These are filmed and aired on local cable outlets, with archive DVD's available for duplication. The meetings and workshops can be seen on Cox Cable Channel 6 on Tuesdays at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.

We provide various media services, including video editing, DVD authoring, studio support, duplication and CCTV support.

Due to budget cuts, can no longer purchase any outside programming.

We provide satellite downlink programming to several media outlets and channels, including The Florida Channel, NASA TV and the Educational Feed Channel.
Copyright Information
Some of the programs have full rights to be recorded by your school and retained for the life of the tape. Some contain limited use rights. Contact the station for details.
FAQ
Q: How do I receive ITV programming at our school?
A: We are broadcast to each school using ITV towers. Each Media Center has ITV connected to one of their closed circuit channels. Contact your school Media Specialist to find out the closed circuit channel for your school.
Q: How do obtain a copy of a TV program?
A: You can record the programs as they air at your school or email us with your request.
Q: Our picture is gone, how do I get tech support?
A: Please email us for tech support.

Satellite dishes are used by the School District to capture educational programs. We are closed circuit TV broadcast to all the schools in our district via OCSD ITV Cable.

ITV is owned and operated by the School District of Okaloosa County and is licensed as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission.
Okaloosa County Schools Instructional Television is broadcast over an analog wireless closed circuit cable system with the head end in Shalimar, with studios located behind the Shalimar Elementary School.
The FCC changed our listing from ITFS (Instructional Television Fixed Service) to EBS (Educational Broadcast Service).
