Student Council

The mission of the Kenwood Elementary Student Council is to provide an opportunity for leadership among the students of the school, empower the students to maintain an active role in school-wide programs, and foster a desire to actively encourage the student body to participate in programs that are devoted to the betterment of the school and community.

Our Student Council is involved in service projects throughout the school year and the members provide morning announcements and run the school store. These members were nominated by their teachers because they show strong character, have good grades, and possess leadership skills. The officers were elected by their fellow Student Council members:

One "Can" Make a Difference

Canned Food Drive

We will be accepting canned goods during the week of December 10th through 14th for Sharing and Caring.

Sharing and Caring is a food pantry that provides for people in need all year long. If each Bulldog brings in one can, we will be able to collect over 600 cans! The Student Council will collect the cans every afternoon from the classrooms and give out one candy cane for every can of food collected.

The cans will be stored in the cafeteria, so watch the pile grow when you eat lunch!

Christmas Candy Grams

The Kenwood Student Council will be selling Christmas Candy grams for 50 cents each during the week of December 17th through 20th.

Students can send them to their friends at Kenwood or their teachers. All proceeds will be going to our “buy new stage curtains for Kenwood” fund! What a great way to say Merry Christmas!
