Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers To Register Online Now

Volunteers are a vital part of student success in Okaloosa County Public Schools and we thank YOU!  New this year, all volunteers will now register online with the district by going to www.okaloosaschools.com and selecting the green “Volunteers Apply Here!” button on the lower right side of the website (or by selecting it below).

To help keep our students safe, all mentors, volunteer coaches, and volunteers who accompany students on overnight field trips will need to be fingerprinted (at district expense). Those volunteers who wish to volunteer as overnight chaperones must apply online a minimum of two weeks prior to the trip.

For more information, call the Office of Community Affairs at 833-7614 or email meredithd@mail.okaloosa.k12.fl.us.

Volunteer Opportunities:

There is a place for anyone wanting to plug in! Below you will find many regular and frequent volunteer opportunities if your schedule permits that. If you want to help but need something less frequent there are many opportunites for you as well.

Media Center Volunteers

The students love coming to the media center! They love the volunteers and are excited to see them The volunteers help them find that special book they are looking for. The dedicated volunteers make the media center run so smoothly. Volunteers not only find books, check them in and out, they shelve the returned books, repairing damaged books, categorize the new books, read to children, help with book fairs and more. If you have a love for children and books then this may be the spot for you. To volunteer in the Media Center contact Kelly Edelman ~ Kelly.Edelman@mail.okaloosa.k12.fl.us
