The Knights of Columbus of Okaloosa County are proud to sponsor
the 17th annual Essay Contest open to all Middle School and
Home School students (ages 11-14) in Okaloosa County. 
The subject of the Essay Contest is “Great American Patriots.”

First Place receives a $300.00 savings bond,
Second place is a $200.00 savings bond,
and Third place is a $100.00 savings bond.

- Running shoes (in good repair)

- Appropriate clothing (weather conditions & dress code)

- Personal water bottle

- A coachable attitude & willingness to try their best

The boys and girls basketball teams sponsored a Share the Warmth jacket
drive for Children in Crisis.  The teams collected 103 jackets for this worthy cause.

Baseball Preseason Conditioning

Anyone interested in participating in preseason conditioning
for the upcoming baseball season needs to see Coach Richards in the gym.

Conditioning will consist of plyometrics, running, agility drills,
flexibility, running, arm strengthening, and running.  The sessions
will be intense and nonstop with the exception of water breaks. 

All participants must have up to date athletic forms filled
out and notarized on file in the front office.
  Students must
meet academic eligibility requirements as well
(2.0/C Average on last report card).

Congratulations to our Davidson Robotics Teams!  They traveled to
Monticello, FL, Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 to participate in a Pre-Qualifier
event for future Robotics competitions.  Two Davidson teams won top
honors in CORE Values and Best Overall Team.  We are Panther Proud!

Soccer conditioning for Boys and Girls will start on Monday, October 1st
Conditioning will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30. 
Students should go to the gym after school, take a seat in the bleachers,
and wait for Coach Davis before dressing out.  Students MUST submit a
completed athletics packet and have a current physical on file before they
can attend conditioning.

There will be Open Field time for Boys and Girls after conditioning from 3:30 to 4:30. 
Students MUST have shin guards for open field time, a completed athletics packet,
and a current physical on file before they can attend. 

Boys and Girls soccer tryouts will be on October 19, 22, and 23.  All students
who want to be on a soccer team must attend the first two days of tryouts
on the 19th and 22nd.  Day three tryouts on October 23rd are by invitation only. 
Students MUST have shin guards, a completed athletics packet, and a current
physical on file before they can try out.

Welcome back SAC Members! This is a friendly reminder that SAC will be meeting Wednesday, August 29th at 3:00pm in the Media Center. Please review Wednesday’s tentative agenda (link below).
If you would like an agenda item added, please let MS. Seegars know by August 27th. If you will not be able to attend, please notify MS. Seegars by email or phone. Also, if you will no longer be serving on Davidson’s SAC, please send Ms. Seegars an email 
so you can be removed from the list.  This is very important because we will be nominating and electing new members, and need to know how many vacancies we have this year.
