  • For all incoming 4th - 8th grade OCSD students.

  • This summer learn about coding, robotics, and will learn about core standards in math and science for their grade level.

  • 4th - 5th Graders - Intro to EV3 Robotics
    6th - 8th Graders - EV3 Robotics Beginner and Advanced and Coding (C++ and Java)

  • Monday - Friday 
    8am - 2pm Daily

NHS Theatre Camp -
June 19-30, 2017

Introduce your child to the new Niceville High School Theatre Department this summer, and help them build their confidence and creativity while determining if they would like to be a part of this exciting program as a future NHS student. An exciting two week long theatre camp is being held by NHS Theatre Director, Ritchie Jackson from June 19 – 30, 2017, on stage in the Niceville High School auditorium. Early registration (prior to June 1st)is $150.00. After June 1st, registration is $175.00. Morning and afternoon classes are available. Class size is limited to 20 students each.

Morning sessions: 8am-11am (3rd-5th grade)
Afternoon sessions: 12pm – 3pm (6th-8th grade)
Participants will learn:
*Creative thinking skills *Confidence building skills *Public speaking skills *The basics of acting * Stage direction *Audience etiquette *Actor’s etiquette *Rehearsal practices *Theatre discipline *
Participants will also:
Receive a NHS Theatre Camp t-shirt and will participate in a mini-production at the end of camp, on Friday night, June 30th at 7pm, in the NHS Auditorium. (**Size or nature of roles is at the professional discretion of the camp’s Director. All roles provide a valuable learning experience, and no refunds will be granted due to dissatisfaction with an assigned role.)

To register, fill out a “NHS Summer Theatre Camp” form and return it to NHS with a check payable to: Niceville High School Theatre Department
Partial payments are permitted, but full balance is due by June 1, 2017.
**Cancellations before one week prior to the first day of camp will be reimbursed less a $20 administrative fee.
Cancellations after that date will not receive a refund or credit.
Fees for camps cannot be transferred to other NHS events.

  • Planning, rehearsing, and then performing offer children a great sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction.  

Tuition Cost
If early registration deadline is met, the cost is $150 per student for the two week camp. after June 1st, the cost is $175 per student for the two week camp. Tuition must be paid in full with registration by check or money order. Make checks payable to:

Dates
Camp runs Monday-Friday, from June 19-30, 2017.

Times
3rd grade – 5th grade camp is held from 8am-11am. 6th grade – 8th grade camp is held from Noon-3pm.
 
Camp Size
Camp size is limited to twenty (20) participants to keep it enjoyable and comfortable for all. Please mail or drop off your registration early. Camp registration is not a guarantee of enrollment until you receive a confirmation call or email reply.
 
Refunds/Cancellation
Cancellations before one week prior to the first day of camp will be reimbursed less a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations after that date will not receive a refund or credit. Fees for camps cannot be transferred to other NHS events. Size or nature of roles awarded to students is at the professional discretion of instructor/director. All roles provide a valuable learning experience, and no refunds will be granted due to dissatisfaction with a child’s assigned role.
