Homeless Youth Awareness

Homeless Youth Awareness

The Okaloosa County School District is committed to providing homeless students school stability, continuity, and access to classes and programs to ensure academic success. The Title IX, Part A, McKinney-Vento Homeless Act protects the educational rights of children and youth experiencing homelessness.

Through the generous support from community partners such as Fort Walton Beach Woman’s Club, Food for Thought, two local Alpha Delta Kappa Chapters, Okaloosa County Retired Teachers Association, First Baptist Church Niceville, and countless others, Okaloosa County homeless students receive support to assist with financial and personal needs.
